About the Girls' Game
Men's and women's lacrosse are referred to as "One sport with two games." Both games develop speed, agility, endurance and strategy, and can be learned quickly. The female game emphasizes precision and skill somewhat more than strength and contact. As a result, girls do not wear as much body protection.
To see what the game looks like at the high school level, go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MO6dBwGEJU.
Women's lacrosse uses its own rules, field markings and equipment. For a summary, visit http://www.uslacrosse.org/education/parentsguide.phtml
