by posted 09/03/2010

Boys Newbie Clinic September 7th through the 10th

The fall lacrosse newbie clinic begins Tuesday, September 7th, through Friday, September 10th.  The clinic is required for those players who are new to lacrosse or who have not previously played with pads.  Registration for the clinic is included with your fall league registration.  The clinic will cover an overall introduction to the game of lacrosse.

Two locations for the clinic have been established -- east and west -- for convenience to participants.  Players on the east side may attend the clinic held at Ann Morrison.  Players on the west side may attend the clinic held at Hobble Creek.  The clinics will be held nightly from 6:00 - 7:30 pm.  Please stop at the table upon arriving to check in.

Players should be prepared with all equipment:  stick, helmet, pads, athletic supporter, and cleats.

Come ready to learn and have fun!

Welcome to TVYLL's website!
by posted 12/23/2009

Welcome to the Treasure Valley Youth Lacrosse League!

Here at the TVYLL, we are all about introducing and developing the sport of lacrosse for the youth and middle school players here in the Treasure Valley and beyond!  For those who are new we would like to welcome you to our site and let you know that our mission is to continuously update our  information with news about our leagues, local clinics, travel teams opportunities, equipment sales and everything else lacrosse related.

Currently we are experiencing a huge growth spurt with our numbers of new players participating.  We also have a huge percentage of returning players who will make an impact at the high school level in the next coming years.   Popularity in the sport means that we have lots more growing pain issues including finding fields, sponsors, equipment rentals, quality coaches and officials.  As our league is completely run by volunteers and we always looking for ways to improve our programs, everyone's input is important to us.   If you would like to get involved please contact any of our board members to see how you can help.  The more the merrier and lighter the load to make our league go from great to amazing!

Please check back often as we will be highlighting several clinics and volunteer opportunities over the next few days and months in preparation of our main spring season!  Again we invite anyone who has some interest to contact us to help!

For me and the rest of our board members it is and will always be about the kids and developing the sport that we all love!

As always, I look forward to seeing you at the fields.
Sincerely,

Maggie Williams
TVYLL President
